Bundjalung people of Australia have a rich Lore associated with the sky and many stories and ceremonies are tied to the sky. Our sacred Wollumbin (Mount Warning), is the first place in Australia to be touched by the sun each morning. This painting symbolises the sun and its importance. In many Aboriginal cultures the sun is a woman, and is of great significance, as she is a source of energy, life and protection.
