The land, sky, waters, flora and fauna together all form Country. We sing, celebrate and dance about Country. All flora, fauna, waters, mountains and stars are interconnected with our culture and kin. It is inherent to our identity and it is more than a place. The very first footprints on this country were those belonging to First Nations people. We are accountable to Country and we must ensure it is protected and passed on to our future generations. To acknowledge Country, we need greater protections of our lands and waters, our sacred sites and our cultural heritage. We must defend them from exploitation, desecration and destruction. Our Ancestors shaped and nurtured this sacred and beautiful Country for millennia and continue to live on in the land, waters, flora, fauna and the sky.
